KSB Australia is planning to build a new water and wastewater competence centre as well as a sales and warehouse complex in Brisbane, Queensland, both of which are scheduled for official opening later this year.
Dave Alexander, the Managing Director for Australia and South Pacific said that the new office will be an asset for local industry in the area by providing them access to high quality pumps, fast tracked after sales service and spare parts.
The new complex will also house the water and wastewater centre for the company in Australia.
The new facility will have a space of about 2300m² in the first stage, which will be completed in November 2010.
The workshop will be equipped with brand new state-of-the-art machinery and its own test bay for testing pumps up to 200kW+.
The new branch will help in generating more employment for the area and provide local expert service to the industries in Queensland by offering training facilities for water industry employees as well as KSB staff.
The new complex will offer a stock of over 300 pumps in addition to assembly and modification facilities.
An additional 650m² facility will be added subsequently as part of future expansion.
