KSB develops new heat transfer fluid pump in in-line design

KSB Australia announces a new addition to their comprehensive range of heat transfer fluid pumps.

The KSB Etaline SYT series is a new range of single-stage volute casing pumps featuring suction and discharge nozzles on the same axis, which is also referred to as in-line design. The piping layout for such pump sets can be kept very simple, making them an ideal choice for compact heating systems and confined spaces. Their robust design is also particularly suited to the rough conditions experienced in heat transfer systems.

Delivering a maximum flow rate of 316 cubic metres per hour and heads of up to 69 metres, KSB’s Etaline SYT pumps can handle hot water as well as mineral and synthetic thermal oils at temperatures of up to 350°C.

The developers used computational fluid dynamics to optimise the hydraulic system of the new pump sets, particularly the hydraulic passage of suction elbow, volute casing and impellers, making the pumps highly energy-efficient.

Etaline SYT pumps are available in ten sizes to fit almost any duty point required. Prior to delivery, each pump will have its impeller diameter trimmed to the duty point of the system where it will be installed. All pump sets are fitted with IE2, IE3 or IE4 electric motors as standard with variable speed systems added as an option.
