The Advanced Slurry Pumping and Piping training course run by KASA Redberg will run again in the last week of October 2009. Based on attendee feedback, the slurry pumping and piping training course has been improved to include more information on non-Newtonian slurry calculations, frothing slurry pumping, slurry piping materials and positive displacement slurry pumps such as GEHO, Wirth, Schwing and APEXS.
Dr Paul Slatter will help to further enhance the Advanced Slurry Pumping and Piping training course by presenting the sections relating to Slurry Properties and Rheology, Slurry Piping Design for Non-Settling Slurries and Slurry Piping Design for Settling Slurries.
The slurry pumping and piping training course is aimed at those who wish to obtain more information on the design of slurry handling systems, particularly those who need to know how to size, specify and select slurry pumps and slurry piping systems. Information relating to slurry pipelines will also be presented.
Attendees will receive a detailed slurry training manual and a certificate of attendance detailing the number of hours of professional development in accordance with Engineers Australia policy.
Pre-programmed spreadsheets for the purposes of performing slurry design calculations relating to slurry piping design and slurry pump de-rating and selection design tools will also be made available.
