John Morris Scientific has introduced Gilson’s evaporative light scattering (ELS) detector. The Prepels II detector features the same industry detection performance as the original Gilson model in a smaller footprint.
The Prepels II detector is equipped with exclusive thermo-split technology that enables selective optimisation of split ratios for isocratic and gradient conditions.
A low-gain setting is used for milligram samples and a normal-gain setting for nanogram to microgram samples offering a full range of signal detection.
A filtering technology allows the removal of baseline noise without affecting peak height or shape; while the exclusive thermo-split technology optimises the detector for any mobile phase or flow rate by precisely controlling temperatures and providing a gentle vapour split.
The Prepels II detector is ideal for obtaining the purest fractions with the ability to detect analytes with or without a chromophore, including compounds that have poor UV absorption such as sugars, carbohydrates, lipids and triglycerides.
The Prepels II detector can be added as the primary or additional detector to any Gilson preparative or analytical solution or to any other HPLC system.
