John Morris Scientific have added the LI-COR’s LI-8100A Automated Soil CO2 Flux System to its portfolio. The soil CO2 flux monitoring systems are compact and have been packaged to be simple to use and transport.

The systems offer researchers a complete soil flux monitoring solution. They excel in both short term surveys and long term unattended measurements of soil CO2 flux.

Features of the soil flux CO2 monitoring systems include:

  • measurement range for CO2 of 0 - 3000ppm
  • measurement range for H2O of 0 - 80 mmol/mol
  • 2 x short term survey chambers
  • 1 x long term chamber
  • multiplexing option for connecting up to 16 long term chambers to a single LI-8100A analyser.
The short term survey chambers of the soil flux system enable spot checking across large areas, as well as the long term monitoring soil CO2 flux changes at the same locations.

The long term chamber of the soil monitoring system is designed for taking diurnal measurements and seasonal soil CO2 flux patterns at a single site for several weeks or months at a time.
