Biotage have created a database which contains over 5200 methods for microwave synthesis that is available from John Morris Scientific . Known as PathFinder, this worldwide database is fast and simple to use and can be accessed via the internet.

The PathFinder database contains four major tools:

  • Biotage PathFinder: Search using simple keywords, to find microwave conditions for reactions of interest along with experimental details and information needed to perform the reactions.
  • Microwave Cookbook: Browse through a selection of popular reactions from the PathFinder.
  • Ask-a-Chemist: Communicate directly with a team of Chemists experienced in microwave synthesis.
  • Vapour Pressure Calculator: Automatically calculate vapour pressure for common solvents.
The PathFinder database is updated with information from scientific partners and recent literature on a monthly basis. Reactions are regularly checked for accuracy and unclear processes are verified with authors directly.
