The Jet Technologies Sydney Open House will display a new range of digital label presses for the first time in Australia.

Being introduced to the Australian market for the first time by Dainippon Screen Australia, the first Screen Truepress Jet L350UV digital label press will be commissioned in early July and shown to the industry at the Jet Technologies Sydney Open House on July 25th.

First previewed at PacPrint 2013, the award-winning press was officially launched at LabelExpo, Europe last September. It also won the ‘Best Digital Label Printing Solution’ from the European Digital Press Association (EDP) in May.

Peter Scott, Managing Director of Dainippon Screen Australia observed significant interest in the Truepress Jet L350UV in both Australia and New Zealand though the company did not have a demonstration machine to run customer trials locally. The efforts of Screen and Dainippon Screen Australia reseller partner Jet Technologies to bring the digital label press to Australia in a working environment alongside digital finishing equipment are expected to provide a tremendous boost to the local industry.

Key features of the L350UV digital label press include ability to run at 50 metres per minute across a 350mm web with a print swathe of 322mm; delivering 16.1 square metres of full colour, finely printed labels per minute or 966 square metres per hour; white ink option for wide-gamut CMYK inkset for clear substrates; UV light curing allowing a wide variety of standard label stocks to be used; 600dpi grayscale printheads ejecting 3 picolitre droplets for unparalleled smoothness of gradations and skin tones; and repeat length up to 2.4 metres.

Scott adds that they are delighted to partner with Jet Technologies to bring the first Truepress Jet L350UV to the region.
