Jemtech has released bolt-on safety systems for long-folding machines.
These machines are in common use in sheet-metal shops and present a constant danger to the operators of these devices.
Jemtech has been manufacturing safety systems for long-folding machines for a number of years and now makes complete kits available for rapid retrofit to all types of long-folders.
The sensors and safety control include special features that improve the use-ability of the machine when guarded.
These features include jogging or pulsing, muting, auto-retract on emergency stop and setup override. The controller also has the ability to monitor the machine control to the requirements of AS4024.
The Jemtech bolt-on retrofit safety kits include laser sensors, control units, emergency stop switches and optional relay packs to support light curtains on the slitter and apron parts of the machine.
In addition, the kits can be set up to include steel stands suited to the rigid mounting requirements of the laser emitters, or alternatively supply free CAD drawings for installers to fabricate on-site.
