Jemtech launch safety control system with two-hand control options

Supplier News

The Jemtech Vigilante/V4SX control units are used as retrofit safety systems for press-brakes.

A new controller software module has been released by Jemtech. This allows the use of two-hand control stations as the start system. These stations require the simultaneous triggering of two start buttons to trigger and hold the safety system output.

In the past, the standard controllers required a single input from a foot pedal. This new module enables the use of two hand buttons or a foot pedal as an option.

The benefit of Vigilante/V4SX systems fitted with such an option is that it eliminates the additional safety relay hardware, wiring and design of alternative systems. It also readily allows the user to switch between two-hand control that may be desirable for some types of work and foot pedal control that may be better for others.

The safety controller can be setup with or without additional safety light curtains. Without the light curtains, an economical safety system can be built where the machine and operation is suitable. With the Vigilante system, the normal muting and inching functions are added to the two-hand control.
