Jemtech recently delivered amphometer systems to the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority.
Amphometers are designed to measure the speed of objects by measuring the time it takes a motorcycle to travel between two light beams.
Amphometers are used in motorcycle rider training and examination. 50 systems are being delivered complete with battery charging units.
Amphometers are custom-designed to fit each application. The units are compact with less than 500mm between the two light beams. The robust and lightweight system also features a bright high contrast LCD display that lets the examiner see the speed at a glance.
Key features of Jemtech amphometers:
- Housings are manufactured from aluminium extrusion and moulded polyurethane
- Mouldings are completely designed and manufactured in-house
- Moulded parts allow the housing to contain optical assemblies, LCD display mountings and fascias as well as the battery compartment in a single unit
- Hardware incorporates software and programmable logic designs as well as optical and battery management electronics
Jemtech’s custom design and manufacturing facilities are integral to their business, allowing them to execute major designs for customers.
