Total Events met the audio equipment requirements for the Geelong Lawn Tennis Club stands at the recent Davis Cup tennis tournament.

Keeping a minimal layout without obscuring sightlines was a key challenge for Total Events, which was met by their stock of JBL VRX speaker cabinets with low visual impact.  

According to Bill Busbridge, managing director of Total Events, the discreet VRX speaker cabinets did not obscure the view of the tennis action. Featuring a high power output, the speaker cabinets allow the amplifiers to be networked for remote controlled operation.  

Total Events used six JBL VRX-918 powered subs and 12 JBL VRX-932 line array cabinets powered by six Crown IT8000 amplifiers, all networked along with a

Soundcraft Si control console.Soundcraft Si Compact control consoles are user-friendly with the small footprint an added bonus. A key advantage of the console is that most walk-in engineers are familiar with its operation.  

Total Events also used four Shure UR Series radio microphones to enable Bill to scan and monitor the bandwidth to ensure clear frequency allocation.
