Parra Firehouse at the Parramatta Leagues Club is a stylish new bar and restaurant offering authentic pizzas, tempting tapas and fresh pasta dishes.
The open-plan kitchen creates an inviting buzz for indoor dining while the large terrace with booth and banquet seating makes for an enjoyable alfresco dining experience overlooking Parramatta Stadium and Parramatta Park.
The restaurant was designed by Paul Kelly of Paul Kelly Design based on a brief to create many spaces with several connections making it feel as one. With five different areas, most having a connection with an adjoining space, it was important to ensure consistency of sound quality along with individual area control.
The JBL-Control25AV was selected for its ability to produce good low level and even response, while still catering for higher levels when required. These loudspeakers were installed throughout the venue to achieve a seamless sound quality for the customer when walking from the bar to the dining area and the lounge.
The outdoor rated loudspeakers were also deployed for the alfresco areas. By reinforcing the low frequency in critical areas with the JBL-ASB6112 12” compact subwoofer, the system can deal with medium level DJ input. Crown XLS-2000 Dual, XTI-2000 and XTI-4000 amplifiers power the speakers.
All five zones are under the care of the BSS BLU100 audio DSP system, providing twelve inputs and eight outputs with pre-programmed EQ, limiting and remote functionality. A simple source selection and volume system is incorporated to allow the bar staff to adjust only basic controls.
The audio equipment was supplied and installed by Saltec Pty Ltd.
