Perth’s Helvetica Bar recently contacted B & H Australia to design and install the audio system in their new space.
Comprising of JBL speakers, Crown amplifiers and a Soundcraft mixer, the audio system has been configured for music playback to provide superior, clear and intelligible audio throughout the new upstairs space.
Background and foreground music was required resulting in the installation of six JBL Control 226CT and two JBL Control 19CS in ceiling subwoofers. The speakers were powered by two Crown XLS1000 amplifiers.
Paul Raphael, B & H Australia’s Account Manager for Western Australia says that the JBL Control 226CT in ceiling speakers is ideal for applications where superior musical impact, voice clarity and high sound levels are required.
He adds that the extremely wide coverage from the 6.5" coaxial drivers allows fewer speakers to cover a larger area, reducing overall system cost without sacrificing sound quality.
The additional JBL Control 19CS in ceiling subs use advanced proprietary technologies to produce powerful bass from a low profile in-ceiling design.
An SCF-RW5797 Soundcraft Notepad mixer allows for control and splitting of the upstairs and downstairs audio systems.
Needless to mention, the owner of Helvetica Bar is very impressed with the audio system and intends to upgrade the existing system with JBL upon the release of their new pendant speakers.
JBL audio systems are available from Jands , a major Australian distributor of professional sound equipment in addition to stage and lighting products.
