LCR Lindores Group have a large fleet of late model Tadano hydraulic truck cranes. With their eighth Tadano GT-550EX from James Equipment in Brisbane, LCR Lindores Group have expanded their services to a range of industries across Australia.
Established in 1985, LCR Lindores Group are a supplier of tower and mobile cranes plus heavy haulage and mining services to the mining and resources sector and also the construction, infrastructure development and heavy industries. LCR Lindores Group purchased their first Tadano GT-550EX from James Equipment in 2006.
According to Len Gillespie, General Manager for Mobile Cranes and Transport, LCR Lindores Group, the performance of the GT-550EX hydraulic truck crane fleet made the decision for an eighth model. One of the important safety features of the Tadano GT-550EX is the low deck height and the raised counter weight above the deck.
The LCR Lindores Group GT-550EX fleet has been busy working on a diverse and demanding range of projects from shutdown work in petro-chemical plants and assembling mining equipment to working on projects in the desert and lifting building materials in city centres.
The Tadano GT-550EX has the latest Japanese crane technologies. The 55 tonne crane can reach speeds of up to 83kph powered by a 250kW 6 cylinder, turbo-charged, direct injection Nissan diesel engine. The top speed of the Tadano GT-550EX is a distinct economic advantage, when travelling long distances between work sites. The upper cabin is designed for simplicity in operation with joystick controls, while the 46m main boom and 14.6m fly jib make light work of heavy and awkward loads.
James Equipment has a strong relationship with LCR Lindores Group having delivered the Group their first Tadano crane in 2003. Serving the crane industry with locations right across Australia, James Equipment have an excellent range of used cranes in stock from international manufacturers including Demag, Kato, Liebherr, Grove and Kobelco.
