THE new generation metal detector solves this problem by exceeding the strict IP69k washdown standard and is said to be the only metal detector in the world to meet and exceed this level of protection.
The rugged technology incorporated into the DSP IP offers high sensitivity and reliability on production and conveyor lines for high-moisture food products such as smallgoods, meat, fish, cheese, sauces and preserves, withstanding vigorous 1450psi (100 bar) and 80°C washdown regimes without additional protection.

In addition to protecting brands against waste, expensive quarantine and embarrassing recalls, the instrument eliminates losses of time and money caused by hand washing and covering up machinery. This translates into greater productivity and a better return on investment.
The system’s internal power supply saves space on production lines, simplifying installation and giving more production flexibility. It means less hardware and external wiring to install and maintain, and one less set of connections to potentially cause problems later.
The machine’s Digital Signal Processing (DSP) delivers more accurate, less ambiguous detection.
At maximum line speeds, the DSP IP can detect metal that other systems might miss – without rejecting product unnecessarily.
The optional world-patented AuditCheck(TM) automatic performance verification system gives even more control by continuously monitoring the performance of the metal detector, quickly spotting and reporting even small changes in sensitivity.
“This allows manufacturers to fine-tine operations in real time to deliver more product and waste less,” Boekemann said.
