At Auspack 2007, May 1- 4 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, J L Lennard will be showcasing the new bagmaker from Rovema, the VPL-180 continuous motion machine.
The compact VPL-180 has been developed with unique maintenance free Linear Motor technology, J L Lennard is one of the leaders in bagmaker technology. Not only is there an increase in performance and efficiency, Rovema have also increased up-time or machine availability to 99%.
The VPL-180 can produce pillow style bags of 50 mm to 180 mm with a maximum bag length of 300mm. Operating at mechanical speeds of up to 220 cycles/minute, it is an ideal solution for candy and snack applications.
The improved programmable sealing time allows the handling of thinner films with high speeds. The sealing pressure of up to 5,000 N is continuously programmable. Additional functions like cooling time are adjustable as well as individual sealing time and pressure, ensuring the high seal qualities. Size changeovers are quick and do not require tools as there are no mechanical changes necessary aside from changing the forming set.
Also integrated in the VPL is the patented jam detection system, which prevents product remains being trapped in the seals. Product trapped in the seals no longer requires a machine stop therefore increasing efficiency. As the bag length and jaw opening can be adjusted during operation, high outputs can be achieved. During operation, all parameters are updated immediately after one is changed. Additionally, the VPL-180 offers integrated online help with easy navigation and complete documentation. The operation takes place via the new P@CK Controls with an operator-friendly touch screen.
According to J L Lennard, it will be showing products that appeal to a wider audience rather than target a specific sector. In addition to the Rovema VPL 180, a new range of metal detection, X-ray inspection and check weighing equipment will be on display. J L Lennard has exhibited at every Auspack since its inception as the show allows us to exhibit a wide range of products to a large audience in the one location and of course potentially meet new prospects.
Auspack 2007 will take place from Tuesday 1st - Friday 4th May at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
