Iveco Spare Parts Australia (Italian Euro Spares)  announces that its latest model, IVECO Daily has won Delivery Magazine’s Van of the Year 2012 award.

The new Daily is one of several new products launched into the Australian light commercial vehicle market in 2012 by IVECO, the Dandenong-based truck, coach and van manufacturer.

The award by Motoring Matters Magazine Group recognises the outstanding design features of the IVECO Daily as well as the class-leading performance and fuel efficiency of the new engine range. IVECO has been able to successfully translate its expertise in the medium and heavy truck business into the design of its light commercial vehicles.

One of several new products launched by IVECO into the Australian market in 2012, the Daily is based on a truck chassis, which gives it a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) range from 3.8 to 7 tonne, allowing it to carry a payload of up to 4.7 tonne. More than two million vehicles from the Daily range have been sold worldwide.

The new Daily has already received a string of honours including the German ‘European Award for Sustainability in Transport’ and the Spanish ‘Premios Europa del Transporte’, which the company received for technological innovations for improved driving comfort and the vehicle’s active and passive safety features.

According to Chris Mullett, the Managing Editor and Publisher of Motoring Matters’ Delivery magazine, the cabin interior of the Daily provides one of the best workplaces for any vehicle in the light commercial segment. The placement and operation of controls, along with comfortable seating and ride, reflect a good understanding of the needs of drivers that work from their vehicles.
