Here, important success factors are careful planning and project management, which includes assessing the existing control and IT infrastructure, understanding the requirements, and choosing the right combination of products and tools.

Citect Australia discusses the next generation of MES, answering the following questions: What does Next Generation MES mean? Why is it different? What should a customer expect? And how might they tell the difference between a Next Generation MES vendor and a traditional MES vendor?
