The Activated Roller Belt conveyor platform is more than a single belt solution for one application; it is a reinvention of the way packages move from point A to point B on a distribution warehouse conveyor.

The Intralox Activated Roller Belt conveyor platform allows distribution centres to accommodate all package types and meet future package processing requirements. It also lowers system ownership and life-cycle costs, increases throughput capacity, eliminates the need for safety protection, and has a small footprint to take up less floor space.

On conveyor systems equipped with Activated Roller Belt conveyor platforms, the product rests on free spinning belt rollers rather than on the belt surface. These rollers extend above and below the belt surface and are positioned at 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, or 90° (or a combination of these angles) in relation to the direction of belt travel.

When the belt moves forward and the rollers on the conveyor platform come into contact with the carryway surface, the rollers become activated. These active rollers move the product across the surface of the belt in the direction of the roller orientation.

As it is possible to manipulate the carryway to move the conveyed products selectively, Activated Roller Belt equipped conveyors have the unique ability to change the direction, alignment, location, and speed of a package independently, without using rails or complicated mechanical controls.
