Interworld Electronics has released the Onyx-173 series of low noise medical stations. The Onyx-173 features high brightness LCD, fanless operation, integrated multimedia functions and extensive expansion options making it the perfect platform upon which to build comprehensive computing applications.
Onyx-173 is also latex-free, has a waterproof front panel, and is dust-proof, vibration resistant and anti-allergenic.
While the Onyx -173 Series has been designed for digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) applications, it is also ideal for use in point of sale systems, interactive information displays, automation control systems and general desktop use. Onyx-173 includes all the features of a powerful computer in a slim and attractive chassis.
Onyx -173 has a 17" high brightness 300 nits TFT display with 1280 x 1024 resolution.
The Onyx-173 supports socket 478-based 400 MHz FSB Intel Pentium M and Celeron M Processors, with clock speeds up to 2.0GHz.
A 2.5" internal ATA100 hard drive provides internal storage, while a side-mounted slim 8-in-1 card reader and slim DVD ROM are included for removable media. An optional smart card reader is also available.
A mini-PCI and a 32-bit PCI slot allow the Onyx-173 to accept a large range of expansion cards.
System I/O includes three RS-232, one RS-232/422/485 port, 7 USB 2.0 ports, a parallel port and audio connectors. An optional touch screen can also be installed.
