Interworld Electronics  has added the AEC-6831 to its range of embedded PC controllers. The AEC-6831 processor based fanless embedded PC is a new addition to the Boxer Series from Aaeon. The Boxer Series has been designed to meet the demands emerging for standalone and blind node control PCs.

The Boxer Series are high performance embedded PCs that feature fanless operation, robust construction, compact size, wide operating temperature range, low power requirements, high vibration/shock protection, and certificated embedded OS support.

The AEC-6831 fanless embedded PC is based on the Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz mobile processor and its features include:

  • 2x serial ports
  • 2x RJ45 GbE Ethernet ports
  • 4x USB 2.0 port
  • An externally accessible Compact Flash slot
  • Audio line in, out and Mic
  • Dual graphics outputs (VGA + DVI)
  • Up to 1Gbyte of DDR2 in a SODIMM package

The AEC-6831 fanless embedded PC includes an internal DC to DC converter allowing the unit to operate from a wide range 9V to 30V DC supply. An optional external AC power pack is also available. If required an optional hard disk kit can be installed allowing a 2.5" IDE hard drive to fitted.

If high performance and low power consumption are the criteria needed then the AEC-6831 provides the ideal embedded solution.
