INTERWORLD Electronics has released WTI's, NBB-230 network boot bar.
The NBB-230 allows the user to remotely control power and initiate reboot cycles on 230V ac rack mounted equipment.
The NBB-230 features a user-friendly web browser interface, to provide simple, yet effective control of switching, reboot and configuration functions. It also offers a clear, easy-to-use ASCII text interface for applications that require command initiated control of power functions via Telnet.
Two levels of password protected security are provided: an administrative level, allowing access to switching, reboot and configuration functions; and a user level which permits switching and reboot functions, but prevents access to configuration menus.
If co-location is important for the application, users can also be limited to specific plugs based on the password entered at login. Passwords are transmitted using basic 64 bit encryption to ensure that command mode access remains secure.
The NBB-230 has zero unit mounting. This allows remote power control capabilities to be added to the equipment rack without sacrificing rack space.
