INTERWORLD Electronics has released Quatech’s SSE-410D and DSE-410D multi-protocol serial device servers.
The new devices compliment Quatech’s ThinQ models allowing Interworld Electronics to supply a complete range of qualified solutions for serial-to-Ethernet applications. The SSE-410D provides a single multi-protocol serial port configurable as RS232, RS422 or RS485 while the DSE-410D provides one Multi-Protocol port and one RS232 port.
The SSE-410D and DSE-410D meet the specifications required to support a large number of serial device-to-network applications. They are switch-selectable for RS232, RS422 and RS485, and supports baud rates up to 230K.
The device servers are offered with direct driver support for Windows 98, Me, NT4, 2000 and XP. The SSE-410D and DSE-410D can also be accessed using standard TCP/IP socket commands, and supports serial tunnelling applications.
Other features include an auto-sensing 10/100 Ethernet interface, UDP Client/Server modes, a Heartbeat connection to automatically reconnect to networks when needed, Telnet support, and for added security, the ability to reject connections from all but a single, defined IP address.
In addition the 410D series serial device servers come with Quatech's standard five-year limited warranty.
