Interworld Electronics  has introduced the I-Server5015B-MTB, an advanced IU Industrial Server.

The I-Server5015B-MTB is a single physical processor, 1U rack mount server designed with cutting-edge technology.

At the heart of the I-Server5015B-MTB lies an advanced Serverboard based upon Intel's 3210 chipset that supports a single Quad-Core Intel Xeon 3300/3200 series processor or a Dual-Core Xeon E3100/3000 series processor.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000/Q600 series, Core 2 Duo E8000/E6000 series as well as Pentium dual-core E2000 and Celeron 400 series processors are also supported.

The Serverboard has four 240-pin DIMM sockets that can support up to 8GB of ECC unbuffered DDR2-800/667 SDRAM.

The Serverboard provides two Universal PCI slots, each of which supports either one x8 PCI-Express card or one PCI-X 133/100MHz card.

One standard size expansion card and one low profile expansion card (with their appropriate riser cards) may be used with the server.

The Serial ATA controller is incorporated into the South Bridge portion of the 3210 chipset, provides a six-port 3Gb/s SATA subsystem with RAID support while the 1U height of the chassis limits the number of hot-swappable SATA drives to four units.

RearI/O backpanel ports include one COM port, two USB ports, PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports, VGA port and two Gigabit LAN (NIC) ports.

The Front I/O panel provides two USB and one COM port. The onboard ATI ES1000 Graphics controller has a 32MB video memory and supports high-resolution displays.

The I-Server5015B-MTB's front control panel provides status LEDs for power on, network activity, hard disk drive activity and system overheat conditions as well as power and system reset buttons.

The chassis features four speed controlled 40mm cooling fans. The serverboard BIOS allows the fan speed to be determined by the system temperature to provide efficient and quiet operation. The I-Server5015B-MTB is supplied with a single 300W power supply.
