Expanding its range of Quatech Ethernet-to-WiFi products, Interworld Electronics brings the new range of the most advanced external 802.11b/g solutions for Ethernet clients, with Airborne ABDG-BR Series wireless Ethernet bridges and ABDG-ET Series Ethernet routers.
The wireless Ethernet client bridges (models ABDG-BR-DP501, ABDG-BR-IN5010) secure a connection between an 802.11b/g wireless LAN and any device with a standard Ethernet port and only a single Ethernet client is supported.
Configuration is simple with the Ethernet client IP address cable being in the same subnet as the rest of the wireless network. The data between devices with a 10/100 Ethernet interface and a wireless LAN is transparently conveyed by the client bridge, and requires no drivers or complicated addressing schemes.
The wireless Ethernet routers (models ABDG-ET-DP501, ABDG-ET-IN5010) are NAT3 routers, supporting a public IP address for the wireless interface and a private network for the attached devices on the wired interface, and are recommended when attaching multiple Ethernet clients via an Ethernet Switch to the wirelessly enabled Ethernet port.
The Ethernet devices can interact with almost any wireless network due to the built-in firewall with advanced rule based port-forwarding and Network Address Translation (NAT). The router integrates with existing Ethernet devices, supporting 10/100 Ethernet, DHCP and static IP addressing with the use of With NAT3, allowing a quick connection to Enterprise class networks.
These Airborne routers and wireless ethernet bridges deliver increased transmit power and receive sensitivity, contributing to superior range performance by utilizing a 32bit ARM9 processor and the high-performance Atheros AR6002 802.11 radio.
