INTERWORLD Electronics has expanded its range of USB to serial port adapters.
The range now includes single, dual, quad, eight and sixteen port adapters. It caters to both the End-User and OEM Embedded markets.
Embedded adapters are supplied without a housing making them ideal for manufacturers and integrators to easily incorporate multiple serial interface devices such as keypads, displays, card readers and printers into custom enclosures that lack native serial port support.
Models that support RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 as well as multi-protocol RS-232/422/485 or RS-422/485 adapters are available.
Single port models include the SSU-100 RS-232 adapter, the USB-422/485 4 wire full duplex and 2 wire half duplex RS-422/485 adapter and the USB-485 2 wire half duplex adapter that supports RS-485 without echo.
Interworld’s range of dual, quad, eight and sixteen port adapters are available with optional surge suppression, which is suitable for industrial environments or deployment in areas that are prone to lighting strikes.
The USB-SEALINK232-I and USB-SEALINK485-I provide industrial strength optically isolated RS-232 or RS-422/485/530 ports for application that require protection from ground loops as well as high voltage transients.
For multi-protocol applications, the USB-COM-4SM provides four individually field selectable RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 ports.
For the embedded markets, Interworld’s range includes a single, four and eight port RS-232 adapter as well as a four and eight port RS-422/485 adapter.
