International Rectifier is hosting a Design News E2E (engineer to engineer) webcast on October 12. With rising steel and energy costs and increased electronics capability, engineers must consider using permanent magnet motors instead of induction motors.
To make the transition easier, designers have addressed more and more of the fundamental and critical design issues earlier in the design process, simplifying the implementation of these motors in end applications.
However, there are still many decisions that system engineers have in choosing the type of control systems and how they implement it. This session will explain many of the complex design issues and the newest developments.
* Hardeep Monga - Program Manager, Laundry Products, Electrolux Home Products North America
* Toshio Takahashi - Director, Digital Control IC Design Center, International Rectifier
The webcast will be moderated by Randy Frank - Senior Technical Editor, Design News.
