Intermec Aust have announced the release of the CK3 mobile computer, which delivers highly adaptable data and image capture capabilities, along with secure wireless communications. The CK3 mobile computer has been designed for warehouse operations and incorporates capabilities such as:
- 1D and 2D barcode scanning, up-close and far-away, in any orientation and under varied lighting conditions. The CK3 mobile computer performs well on poor quality and damaged barcodes
- 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN radio with Cisco Compatible Extensions (CCX) certification
- VoIP communications
- Speech recognition
- Bluetooth radio communications
- Handheld or ‘gun’ deployment formats
- RFID Reader option
- Support facility for a line of compatible Intermec mobile printers
The CK3 mobile is the second Intermec Aust rugged mobile computer to operate on Windows Mobile 6.1. The CK3 mobile computer has a complete line of accessories, which include docking stations, attachable scan handles and a snap-on IP30 handheld RFID reader.
In preparing the CK3 for introduction, Intermec Aust have provided solution development partners with early access to the CK3 platform to ensure that industrial-class applications were available for immediate deployment. According to Intermec Aust, the CK3 mobile computer will offer solutions to streamline operations, maximise efficiencies and reduce costs.
