Intellect to replace veteran bore switchboard at BHP Billiton iron ore mine

Perth based electrical and control systems service provider, Intellect Systems has been commissioned to replace part of the ageing MOSCAD telemetry control system located on a BHP Billiton iron ore mine in the Pilbara.

Lend Lease Services has appointed Intellect Systems, a subsidiary of Resource Development Group to provide expert control systems and communications services to assist in the V18 bore switchboard replacement project located at Mount Whaleback in Newman, Western Australia. The scope of work will include engineering design services, software development and commissioning.

Jason Monzu, Managing Director of Intellect Systems explains that the company has extensive experience working on similar infrastructure projects in the Pilbara region. The new project provides yet another opportunity for Intellect Systems to demonstrate their versatility in delivering specialist electrical, communications and control systems solutions across a broad range of industries.
