Building on its momentum to support the growth of mobility in the channel industry, Intel Corporation has introduced its first Intel-branded mobile motherboards.
The two motherboards, Intel mobile board MGM965TW and Intel mobile board MGM965JB, will be available in June this year as a 15.4-inch configurable notebook barebones system through Mitac and local aggregators.
These mobile motherboards, based on Intel Centrino Duo processor technology and the next-generation Intel Centrino Pro (codenamed Santa Rosa), support Intel’s on-going initiative to simplify the development of PC notebooks for consumers and small and medium sized business segments.
Due in May, Intel Centrino Pro processor technology is comprised of a next-generation Intel Core 2 Duo processor, the Mobile Intel 965 Express chipset family, Intel Next-Gen wireless-N network connection, Intel 82566MM and 82566MC Gigabit network connection.
With Intel Centrino Pro processor technology, users will be able to reliably manage desktop and notebooks and deal with what plagues them security threats, cost of ownership, resource allocation, and asset management and do so wirelessly.
According to Intel, with these new mobile motherboard solutions, Intel extends advantages that users and administrators of PCs have benefited from in the past to the notebook space.
