Integrated Recycling switches film extrusion techiques to recycled plastic ‘Envire’ cores

Supplier News

Integrated Recycling (IR) commissioned new extrusion equipment specifically designed to use post consumer polyethylene waste as its new film extrusion equipment, specifically designed to use post consumer polyethylene waste as its feed source for the ‘Envire’ plastic cores.

The vital reason for new film extrusion equipment is to replace traditional cardboard cores used in stretch film production.

The use of recycled plastic cores in stretch film production supports both Australian manufacturing and sustainability initiatives which are critical for the both the social and physical environment.

Besides being stronger and more resilient than paper cores, recycling plastic into ‘Envire’ cores in film production will result in the eventual reduction of paper cores, which in turn will influence logging numbers and make a positive impact on the environment.
