Envire recycled plastic cores available from Integrated Recycling are designed to replace traditional cardboard cores used by parent company Integrated Packaging in stretch film production.
In April 2011, Integrated Recycling (IR) commissioned new extrusion equipment specifically designed to use post consumer polyethylene waste as its feed source for the Envire plastic cores.
Using recycled plastic cores supports both Australian manufacturing and sustainability initiatives, which are imperative for the social and physical environments.
When plastic is recycled into Envire cores, it will result in less demand for paper cores. Consequently, less timber will be cut and processed, helping the environment in the long term.
Additionally, Envire recycled plastic cores are stronger and more resilient than paper cores.
