Integra Packaging worked in collaboration with multiple agencies to package and transport a large number of electrical distribution components to the Gorgon gas project in northwest WA.
Integra worked with pest control and quarantine as well as Alstom and Chevron staff across several locations and during horrendous weather, to meet strict deadlines and quality inspections.
The solution was to select a dedicated onsite team, specifically for this work. The Integra team worked closely with the customer and other stakeholders to wrap up and protect all the parts.
Despite several weeks of bad weather, Integra wrapped every item, on time to high quality. Quarantine was passed and items shipped to meet the project demands. Items were wrapped alternately in the Alstom factory and at the DB Schenker site at the ports to ensure the job was completed on time.
Speaking on behalf of the client Alstom, Nigel Musso, Project Manager, Alstom Grid - Transformer expressed his appreciation for the work done by Integra staff on their Gorgon project. In spite of the number of units, and size and duration of the work, along with several challenges along the way, Integra was able to complete the project in a highly supportive manner and were of great assistance to Alstom in achieving their tasks in a timely way. He also praised the interaction, communications, quality of work, responsiveness and flexibility demonstrated by the Integra team.
