INSTROTECH manufactures the Australian-designed Model 1684 level systems for vehicle and stationary liquid tanks. Each system comprises a tank sensor and one or more remote point-level display controller.
The sensors may be capacitive or resistive types, depending on the liquid. Most applications over the past six years have been for water and foam concentrates on emergency services fire trucks and in tankers.
However, systems are also in use in such diverse applications as diesel fuel tanks for standby generators and bulk water storage dams with 12 metre long sensors.
These systems are fully digital with self-checking functions and may act as simple displays or have switching outputs for alarms, valve and pump controls.
The display controllers may be surface-mount, panel-mount or rail-mount types.
All sensors and panel mount displays have fully encapsulated electronics and sealing for environmental protection.
Because these systems are fully manufactured to order in Adelaide, they may be customised to suit the application and the functions required by the user.
