iICE Master Data Manager from Innovit to be launched at Impetus 2008

Innovit Australia  (Innovit), providers of software systems for Master Data Management (MDM), are set to launch their iICE MDM (Version 5.0) at Impetus 2008. This new version will deliver a user-friendly, yet powerful tool for companies to validate and manage their master data around products, customers and vendors.

The launch will coincide with Innovit’s 10th anniversary. According to the company’s CEO, Bang Chau, Innovit are proud to be gold sponsors of Impetus 2008, having also been gold sponsors of Australia’s premier supply chain conference in 2006.

Chau added that during this time, Innovit and GS1 Australia have partnered to drive the adoption of new philosophies around Global Data Synchronisation (GDS) and Master Data Management (MDM). The emergence of data pools like GS1net that use global standards for product data definition has rapidly changed the supply chain landscape of industries such as FMCG, CPG and healthcare in Australia.

Chau said the advance workflow management capabilities of the iICE MDM allows users to design, configure and execute their own approval workflow processes for the maintenance of all master data, including products, customers and vendors.

The iICE MDM is designed to eliminate the uncontrolled use of Microsoft Word and Excel documents for managing master data. With Version 5.0, the iICE MDM adds a completely re-engineered workflow module that is built to replace Microsoft Visio for the design and drawing of master data management processes, with the advantage of real-time workflow integration to other business systems.

Innovit’s iICE MDM will provide companies with new capabilities that include:

  • Graphical user-interface for workflow design, execution and management
  • Configurable approval workflow engine tailored for New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) processes
  • Real-time data validation with user-definable validation rules
  • Configurable customer and vendor account creation workflow
  • Faster time-to-market for product catalogue publication

Chau also stated that with an increasing focus on ensuring data integrity, data accuracy and data consistency in the business world today, Innovit’s suite of iICE MDM products will reshape the way master data is processed, validated, controlled and managed.

Impetus conference delegates can find more about the iICE MDM suite of products by visiting the Innovit stand during the Impetus 2008 trade Expo.
