Riviana selects Innovit’s iICE product data manager solution
GS1net replaces EANnet as the Australasian data pool for Global Data Synchronisation (GDS) for FMCG and Healthcare industries. Launched in September 2007, over 1200 suppliers must migrate their product catalogues to GS1net.
GS1net migration is a top priority for Riviana Foods. With the decommissioning of EANnet to make way for GS1net, it is essential that Riviana migrate its product catalogue to this new platform without disruption to daily business transactions with Coles.
In line with GDSN standards, the functionality offered by GS1net is far more extensive than EANnet. To support this additional GS1net capability, Riviana decided to replace PCM, their existing EANnet middleware.
This decision was strengthened by the growing business need to implement a more centralised and controlled Master Data Management (MDM) process.
Innovit’ s iICE product data manager solution was chosen by Riviana as a system that could provide their company with a seamless migration path to meeting GS1net compliance.
In addition, iICE will provide Riviana with a scalable solution to meet their growing master data management needs.
