Innovit ’s iICE Master Data Manager (MDM) solution is the GS1net solution of choice by Kelloggs. iICE allows Kelloggs to update legacy workflow systems with a more controlled process for the management of product master data to support GS1net compliance.
Kelloggs, one of the world’s leading producers of convenience meals has been using EANnet to synchronise product information with their retail trading partners like Coles Supermarkets. To ensure compliance with new GDSN compliant data pool called GS1net, Kelloggs were required to upgrade their internal systems and processes in order to support the additional functionality that is inherit within GDSN data pools.
Like many suppliers that have already completed the EANnet journey, Kelloggs chose to also incorporate within their project an opportunity to improve how the business currently collates, stores, and manage their product master data.
Innovit’s iICE MDM system provides Kelloggs with a very flexible and highly configurable data management system. iICE allows Kelloggs to configure their data structures internally by adding product attributes and hierarchies on demand. Users define their own data validation rules, and design electronic forms & screens to improve efficiencies in data entry.
Product management workflow within Kelloggs existing Lotus Notes application has traditionally been limited. Utilising advanced approval workflow functions within iICE, Kelloggs can now expand the master data management process across the entire organisation.
