What are the main applications of bioplastics?
Bioplastics have been used to replace conventional plastics.There is believed to be minimal differences in functionality and is usually an environmental drivinf force behind this.
The following applications indicate the largest uptake of bioplastics:
• Consequently ploughing Mulch film into the field after use
• Packaging such as trays and bottles
• Amassing organic waste using Compostable waste bags
• Organic or niche products food packaging, especially for fresh products with a short shelf life. Therefor th ‘left over’ packs can be composted together with food waste.
