Innovec Controls introduces new Quad Set Point alarm
The IDA4 is a Quad Set Point alarm module from Innovec Controls is supplied in a din rail mount housing that accepts a 4-20mA or 0-10VDC input signal, generates four alarm set points with 1 to 99% dead band and incorporates a 4.5 digit LED display.
The Quad Set Point alarm’s functions are touch switch programmable from the front panel. The outputs can be either relays with changeover contacts which can switch 240VAC at 5 amperes resistive or 24VDC sourcing transistor.
A regulated 24VDC loop supply is also provided to power two wire transmitters directly from the module.
The outputs have LED status indication on the front panel and can be independently configured for failsafe high, failsafe low, or control operation from the front panel.
A common application for this alarm is to measure water levels using a two wire pressure or ultrasonic sensor which can be powered directly from the IDA4 and therefore eliminating the need for a separate DC power supply.
As the IDA4 has high and low alarm outputs, the IDA4 can automatically control the liquid level in a tank by turning a pump on at the minimum level and turning it off at the maximum level. Therefore, maintaining a constant level of liquid for production requirements.
The module is supplied in an enclosure that can be din rail or equipment plate mounted and is powered from 120/240 VAC, 24VAC or 18-36 VDC.
