Kingston sets up ‘white box’ site

Supplier News

Memory manufacturer Kingston Technology has set up a website to assist ‘white box’ builders and systems integrators in making informed memory-purchasing decisions.

The website, dubbed the White Box Pavilion, will give systems builders and integrators access to detailed information on the latest Kingston products, key alliances, current promotions, industry news, and a motherboard-memory configurator.

The configurator executes custom product searches by cross-referencing motherboards with compatible memory modules ensuring that customers are ordering the correct product for their white box systems, according to Kingston strategic alliances programs manager Christina Patow.

“With the new White Box Pavilion we want to provide systems builders and integrators the tools they need to make sound buying decisions when they are choosing memory products for their white box systems,” Patow said.

Kingston will also feature its motherboard compatibility program in conjunction with the Pavilion, Patow said.

Under the program, Kingston works closely with motherboard manufacturers to conduct pre-release compatibility testing of Kingston ValueRAM memory modules on new motherboards.

The US site is available for viewing at http://www.kingston.com/whitebox

Kingston Technology is distributed in Australia by Dicker Data, Ingram Micro, Simms International and Tech Pacific .
