Infor releases new version of asset management solution


Infor, a global provider of enterprise software, has released the new version of Infor EAM MP2, an asset management solution for small- to medium-sized businesses. This new version of Infor EAM MP2 includes enhancements designed to ease the transition to Microsoft-based servers and operating systems, including support for the next-generation Microsoft operating system Windows Vista.

Infor’s customer first strategy focuses on enriching the value of customers’ current investment in Infor solutions, extending their core ERP applications with business-specific extended solutions and evolving the Infor product line to produce next-generation solutions.

Designed for companies with smaller maintenance organisations, Infor EAM MP2 delivers the functionality businesses need to keep their assets operating at peak performance while minimising operational costs, all in an affordable, quick to install, easy to maintain, and simple to use client/server package.

According to Infor, EAM MP2 was a direct result of customer feedback, which enabled them to help customers improve plant performance and reduce operating expenses. Infor also added that the Company continues to provide asset management solutions for enterprising companies of all sizes regardless of the number of users or sites, and regardless of the need for onsite or hosted implementations.

The new Infor EAM MP2 includes numerous updates and upgrades, including support for Microsoft’s SQL Server Express and SQL Server 2005. Other enhancements include an updated user interface as well as support for the new generation of Microsoft desktop operating systems, including Microsoft Vista.

Infor MP2 automates the process of tracking, maintaining and managing capital assets, which enables customers to maximise equipment uptime, while controlling the cost of labour and inventory.
