Business software provider Infor Global Solutions (Australia) has announced a 42% growth in the public sector market in Australia and New Zealand as a result of product enhancements based on the evolving needs of government agencies.
Ongoing consultancy with public sector organisations through user groups and strategic advisory boards has revealed a demand in ANZ for software that enables more staff mobility, online customer self-service as well as social media and web-enabled components to serve the new generation of employees and constituents.
To address these requirements, Infor has announced a three-year product roadmap for its key public sector software offerings, Pathway and Hansen.
Key features include new risk management and incident management modules for Hansen as well as contact management and new user interfaces for Pathway.
In addition, both products will benefit from enhancements as part of Infor’s global ION strategy and deep integration with the Microsoft product stack.
For a global organisation, Infor is unique as it develops its successful Pathway software in Australia with heavy input from local customers through focus groups, forums and a strategic advisory board.
This local input, combined with Infor’s global vision has created a very powerful proposition, driving Infor’s growth in ANZ.
James Brackenrig, Infor Vice President and Managing Director ANZ said, “Our product direction aligns with our customer needs, because it is guided by them locally. The fundamental difference between Infor and other vendors is that we have multiple solutions for different verticals all of which enjoy a long term evolution strategy – rather than a one-size-fits-all product that requires costly and lengthy customisation."
Infor has in excess of 130 public sector customers in ANZ including large and medium organisations from local and state governments including City Councils for Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Auckland as well as Watercare Services in New Zealand and Moreton Bay Regional Council in Queensland.
Brackenrig continued, “The public sector market is a key focus for Infor in Australia and New Zealand and our growth last year is evidence that Infor’s product strength and quality of our professional services organisation is really resonating. Infor provides another way for the public sector to get real operational benefits without heavy customisation and long, expensive implementation times.”
Infor ION is designed to make it easier for every Infor customer to integrate and manage their data, no matter where the data resides and no matter what application created it.
With this unprecedented simplicity of business document exchange, companies of all sizes will now have a better way to build and use business intelligence from across their entire operations, faster and more cost-effectively than ever before.
It will tie all Infor products including Pathway and Hansen together with deep integration and data federation.
