Cussons chooses Infor software

PZ Cussons has purchased solutions from the Infor Supply Chain Planning suite of software to support its operations in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Infor’s software exclusively focuses on the manufacturing and distribution industries.

Cussons, the personal care and household cleansing products company best known for its Imperial Leather, Carex, Original Source, Morning Fresh and Charles Worthington brands, has manufacturing operations throughout Europe, Asia and Africa. The selection of Infor Supply Chain Planning will form the backbone of supply chain operations within PZ Cussons designed to provide best-in-class collaborative demand planning, inventory optimisation and manufacturing and supplier requirements planning functionality to support an implementation of best practice sales and operations planning processes within the group.

“Our goal has been to drive efficiency and end-to-end visibility throughout our complex supply chain,” says Mike Johnson, supply chain director for PZ Cussons UK.

“Our traditional transaction systems have spawned spreadsheet-based planning within the business. Infor’s solutions automate and streamline our planning processes, providing us with a centralised system that maximises our inventory, optimises production and ensures the availability of our products to our retail customers.”

John Sookias, vice president and general manager of Infor’s Demand Planning Group cites experience implementing solutions around the world within divisions of companies such as HJ Heinz, SC Johnson, Unilever, Coca-Cola and Johnson & Johnson as helping Infor “to develop the Infor Demand and Supply Chain product into world-class collaborative supply chain planning tool.”

Infor recently acquired MAPICS which has been providing the manufacturing industry with ERP, CRM, PLM and supply chain management solutions and professional services for over 25 years. MAPICS’ operations have been inte-grated into Infor’s Discrete Group. n
