Next generation of reverse engineering technology from Industrial Measurement Solutions on display at NMW 2011

Supplier News

The annual National Manufacturing Week trade show is now well under way in Melbourne, where Industrial Measurement Solutions is unveiling its latest reverse engineering capabilities.

By incorporating Romer measuring arms with Dezignworks software, Industrial Measurement can now offer a complete reverse engineering system that provides high volume, high accuracy measurements.

The range of Romer measuring arms coupled with the sophisticated Dezignworks plugin software enables the Romer arm to sketch directly into Solidworks and similar CAD softwares to accuracies of up to ±5micron.

Combining both the measuring and inspection process, this revolutionary new system can potentially dramatically increase the efficiency and the effectiveness of RE applications by up to seven times.

A range of features that have been designed to increase user comfort and achieve high accuracies have been incorporated into these new measuring arms, including:

  • carbon fibre shafts
  • TESA smart probes with Renishaw Ruby styluses; and
  • Wifi or USB data transfer.
Romer Arms are available in ranges from 1.2 metres to 4.5 metres in size. There are also three models with different tolerances for specific applications.

Industrial Measurement Solutions is located on stand 2024 at National Manufacturing Week 2011.
