Slat-con is a heavy duty slat chain conveyor made for rugged applications. The Slat-con technology has been successfully used in the waste handling industry as well as in aluminium smelters and foundries. One of its significant technical points is a specially formed steel slat which overlaps with the next link to form a solid bed, therefore preventing any spillage. This ensures that substances ranging from abrasive material such as glass, household waste or even steel shavings all the way through to hot materials can be conveyed without the normal level of restriction a conventional belt conveyor has to cope with.
