Industrial Conveying (Aust) has designed and manufactured conveying solutions that can be implemented at multiple sites and all under a single client. The company has identified the need for this type of solution, especially in the Australian distribution systems for commercial foods and beverages industries.
Industrial Conveying (Aust) began formulating their conveying systems for a beverage specialist, who had installation procedures occurring in two existing production facilities and a new distribution warehouse in another region. The client needed a system that was able to pre-arrange product to conform to transportation requirements, load/unload palletised product in an efficient and reliable way, as well as reduce time and handling costs associated with existing/standard practices.
Industrial Conveying (Aust) designed, manufactured and implemented two types of docks, Route Docks and General Docks, to meet schedules servicing local small businesses as well was supermarket chains. Route Docks operate using a specially designed air skate system that engages with a specific flat-floor trailer configuration with inbuilt air guide rails for loading products. General Docks is a chain conveyer system combined with an air operated powered chain floor trailer facilities for loading and unloading products.
The key aspect of their conveying systems, for Industrial Conveying (Aust), was that it was Australian based – as opposed outsourcing similar systems from overseas. This feature helped significantly reduce the amount of turn-around time, compared to an offshore supplier, and was able to deliver on time and on a budget based on modern and materials handling systems, which were coordinated across two high volume sites that can work synchronised to facilitate rapid and constant product-to-market demand.
