IW Distribution continues to expand the Australian range of VoSKY exchange products designed to allow Skype to be used within SME’s and even large corporations with the launch of FXO and FXS versions of the VoSKY exchange Skype gateway.
Customers using the VoSKY Exchange server can make and receive Skype-to-Skype calls and receive Skype-In calls directly from their standard office phones.
They can also make SkypeOut calls taking advantage of the very low tariffs from Skype.
The VoSKY Exchange 9040 and 9080 series offer four or eight Skype lines in a stackable,
19inch rack-mountable design, which can be connected directly to the PABX through FXO ports. The 9140/9180 series are similar but connect to the PBX through FXS ports and also includes new software for global call transfers over Skype, allowing calls to be transferred to any number inside or outside the office or to any Skype user name.
VoSKY Exchange is simple to install it connects to the PBX and to a server running Skype which is connected to your broadband connection and the whole set-up can go live in as little as two hours with no changes to existing PBX equipment, phones, or PCs.
According to IW Distribution, businesses with multiple locations such as retail outlets can put a VoSKY exchange at each site, which not only saves on outgoing calls to customers and vendors, but also makes intraoffice calls Skype-to-Skype, which are free-of-charge.
With the new FXS version almost any PBX can be Skype enabled simply by allocating some free extensions to connect into the VoSKY exchange.
Actiontec and IW Distribution will present the products at CeBIT Sydney, stand E 45, hall 2.
