IVECO Trucks Australia Limited will be showcasing their fleet once again at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show (BTS) being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 16 to 19 May.
IVECO’s fleet on display at the BTS will include a diverse range of vehicles that meet the needs of local and long-haul truck operators.
The flagship of the IVECO fleet, the Powerstar 7800 is a heavy duty powerhouse that can haul big loads, with a 140 tonne Gross Combination Mass (GCM). Developed in Australia to withstand the country’s harsh climatic extremes and physical road conditions, the new Powerstar 7800 roadtrain is a unique product that blends an American driveline and European comfort into an Australian made truck, says IVECO Trucks Australia’s Director of Platform, Marco Quaranta.
At the BTS show, IVECO will be donating a fourth Daily van to the Trans-Help Foundation, the national organisation that assists and supports transport employees and their families who are in crisis, or suffering from hardship, health issues or trauma.
The spotlight will also be on the iconic ACCO featuring a Hanson Cement concrete agitator on its back to demonstrate the truck’s design versatility. The Powerstar 6400, a true workhorse for the construction, mining, quarrying and medium-haul transport markets will also be part of the fleet being displayed at BTS. Designed, engineered and built in Dandenong, Victoria, the 6400 offers a choice of wheelbase and cab configurations that allows customers to mount a wide variety of equipment, including the latest side- and end-opening tipper bodies.
IVECO’s new Stralis can also be seen at the BTS. Known for its fuel efficiency and ability to meet the demands of driver convenience and comfort, the latest Stralis model is one of the most versatile trucks produced by IVECO with applications including single trailer, prime mover, tanker, car transport and refrigerated transport.
A large team of experienced sales and engineering staff will also be on hand at the IVECO stand at the BTS 2013 truck exhibition to field enquiries and discuss any industry-specific requirements of customers.
