ITW Finishing Technologies has released the DeVilbiss relative humidity indicator (RHI-01) and desiccant Snake for simple, cost effective detection and removal of water in compressed air. The RHI-01 can be used to quickly and simply check the humidity of compressed air. It gives positive indication of compressed air moisture levels, letting the user know when to change the Snake or if the compressed air supply needs attention.
The indicating crystals start changing colour from blue to pink at 10% relative humidity and are clear at 15% relative humidity. The indicating crystals will change back and forth a number of times for long service life. Once the crystals have become saturated, the user runs dry air through the fitting to return the crystals to their original form. The system is aimed at paint priming areas, production lines, spray booths, quality control areas and for testing quality of compressed air.
The Desiccant Snake inline compressed air dryer removes moisture vapour down to a 1/2% relative humidity or a -40°c dew point. This means moisture will not condense after the Snake in your airline until the compressed air reaches a temperature of -40c.
It is designed for use in painting priming areas, production lines, quality control areas, spray booths, for general workshop use for all types of air tools and for ensuring tyres are inflated with clean, dry air.
