ITW Finishing Technologies has released the DeVilbiss DGi digital air pressure gauge, providing accurate measurement and adjustment of air flow for spray guns and other air-operated tools and equipment. In order to provide accurate, first-time colour matching sprayers must be able to set very accurate and consistent air pressures at the gun.
The digital gauge and adjusting valve is a tough, precision electronic unit which provides air pressure settings at the spray gun accurate to within ±0.1%. The DGi unit reads in units of 1/20th bar so it can be set to 2 bar ±0.05 bar.
It has a plated, die-cast body, a toughened safety glass screen and robust electronics. So it can withstand the rough and tumble of a busy bodyshop and will survive where a glass-fronted, clock-type gauge would fail.
The unit has sealed-for-life electronics, with a non-replaceable battery which will last around two years. The battery simply switches itself off when not in use.
It screws directly onto the gun inlet with a loose nut fitting. This enables the read-out screen to be angled to suit right or left-handed sprayers.
It is intrinsically safe so it can be used with confidence in hazardous atmospheres, it can stay on the gun and can go in the gun wash machine.
The DGi can also be used for accurate air pressure setting on any air driven tool in the workshop.
